Wordless Wednesday - New Crayons

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you are having a wonderful week so far!  Today I am linking up with Christina from Sugar and Spice for a little Wordless Wednesday fun.

Today was a big day in my classroom.  Before my Kinders came in this morning, I switched out the large crayons that they had been using since the beginning of they year with small ones.  To say they were excited is an understatement!  Students who haven't really been interested in coloring were asking if they could color their skills sheets when they finished their center work.  When we finished our map skills sheet today, we had a few minutes before dismissal.  I asked if they wanted to draw a picture on the back and use their new crayons.  There was a resounding yes!  My Kinders were so proud of their pictures!

Do you use the large or small crayons in your class or a combination of both throughout the year?  I would love to hear what other teachers use!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. All small crayons for us. I teach third. I STILL break crayons from pushing too hard in the middle. Maybe I need fatter crayons!
