Yes, I know I might be late to the Amazon shopping party. It's not to say that my household has never bought anything from Amazon. It's just that I have never bought anything from Amazon. My husband has bought tons of stuff - car chargers, items for our son, car things that I don't fully understand the need for. At the end of last school year, a parent gave me a very generous gift certificate to Amazon. That meant that I needed to decide what I wanted/needed to spend my money on.
I use these badge holders and clips for the name tags that students wear when they go to specials or when there is a substitute. Yes, there are 50 badge holders and 100 clips, but when one breaks, I will have one handy {or 70 in the case of the clips - lol}.
I have been reading about Jan Richardson's The Next Step in Guided Reading all over blog land this summer. I read so much great information that I knew I had to have it for myself. {It will be my light reading on my long weekend getaway next week.} I also ordered an almost class set of large white, gray, and pink crayons. I always have to scrounge around through my old crayons to find these colors, so I treated
No, this has absolutely nothing to do with school, but it has a funny story. My son just completed ESY on Tuesday. Near the beginning of ESY, he kept signing "walking video" to me. I had no idea what in the world he was talking about. Finally, I asked his teacher {who is not his usual teacher} what he was talking about. She started laughing and said it was a video that they used as a brain break and reward. My son talked to me everyday about the video. He even requested on Monday for his reward for completing his math homework. His teacher wrote down the name, and we bought it. Yesterday, my 7 year old son and I did Mile 1 on this video. You should have seen us. It was pretty funny. {Well me really. Colton did a good job. haha}
Thanks for letting me share my newest obsession. It might be a little dangerous now that I've made a few orders. I see many more orders in my future. {I'm sure my husband is thrilled about this prospect. lol}
What is your favorite thing that you have purchased from Amazon?
Great finds. I have the same guided reading book. I need to start it.
ReplyDeleteI love amazon because you don't even need to leave your house.
My cart is always full at Amazon! My favorite things to purchase from there are children's books...just added a few more this morning! :)

Hi! I love Amazon as well! I buy my laminating pouches from there...so much cheaper than anywhere else!!! You can get the 3ml for $10! (for 100 pouches!) I love ebay, too! I buy bulk books for crazy cheap!!! Amy :)
ReplyDeleteThey often have good deals on books. They will do 4 for the price of 3 or will just mark some way down for a time. I get most of my books there-both for the kids and for myself. I'm on probation right now though-this time of year is always hard on my budget! :)
